Based on the comprehensive analysis of the structure and operation performance of household outdoor air ventilators, develops an approach to evaluate their cleaning energy efficiencies through a relationship between the cleaning benefit and energy cost. The cleaning benefit includes the clean air delivery rate (CADR) contributed by outdoor air and return air, respectively. The cost includes two parts: the electrical power consumed by the equipment and the potential energy consumption caused by the introduction of outdoor air. Analyses the cleaning energy efficiency of different types of outdoor air ventilators under typical working conditions in Beijing and Guangzhou using the evaluation index.
